Heron Cove Bed & Breakfast closed December 31, 2017. Ginny and I moved to Ohio to be close to family. Today, the windchill is -25.

Heron Cove B&B has been blessed with visitors from Germany, UK, Russia and numerous US States in the past few weeks. Still noone visiting form Italy. Wonder why?

The Magnolia trees have developed large seed pods since flowering, and some of the pods have developed bright red seeds....

The Magnolia trees have developed large seed pods since flowering, and some of the pods have developed bright red seeds. I haven't seen what bird, or animal, eats the seeds but suspect the squirrels. The ground under and around the trees are littered with the pods, but the red seeds are gone.

The baby woodpeckers seem to grow by leaps and bounds each day. They keep a constant eye out for their food, which the parents are working hard to supply. I wonder if they will live here at Heron Cove after they leave the nest?
