Have you ever thought you would like to go back to a slower time in your life? Perhaps something like--a visit to Grandmothers house, good warm comfort food or plain old peace and quiet. These are some comments we hear from Bennett House guests after a good nights sleep with healthy breakfast and storytelling on the porch.

We enjoy listening to the conversation between guests at the breakfast table. It often includes a retired couple traveling to visit grandchildren or a young couple visiting the bourbon trail. The men are usually discussing sports while the ladies talk about family or shopping. But happiness and kindness are evident and noone seems to be in a hurry.

Compare this to conversations in a hotel where people come down to breakfast. First, they look for an empty table away from other people. Then they head off to pick up paper plates and cups to fill with ordinary food one would prepare at home-scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. You get the picture.
