The Chain is comprised of 14 lakes and over 3,000 acres to fish. Angler opportunities abound with an abundance of walleye, northern pike, bass, crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish. The DNR stocked the Lower Mississippi strain of walleye fry into two lakes. 137,500 were put into Horseshoe and 377,500 into Cedar Island.
