Your DTI & Credit Score are 2 important factors that lenders consider when you apply for a loan.

DTI is easier to improve than most people think.

Increase your income:
•Ask for a raise or pick up extra hours/shifts
•Get a second form of income (FYI, there are time limits that you have to work both jobs for part time income to be considered)
•Add on a qualified co-signer

Reduce your debts:
•Make double payments
•Make a lump sum payment
•Ask for an extension on the duration of your loan
•Pay off high interest debts
•Ask for a lower interest rate
•Consider Debt Consolidation, if it makes sense.
•Hold off on large purchases
•Limit non-essential spending

Reduce your potential mortgage
•Look for a home in a lower purchase price
•Expand search areas
•Adjust your criteria to meet the reality of your situation
