Happy , campers! This week’s campground takes us to a spot in the Sunshine State, where flip-flops are basically required footwear and every day ends with a beautiful sunset.

This KOA has all the comforts you want for a camping getaway, from a 24/7 laundry facility to hot showers to Wi-Fi. When it comes to recreation, the real star of the show is this KOA's creek access. Bring your fishing gear to see what you can catch or rent a kayak and float down the creek all the way to the Gulf! Other great amenities include a pool and hot tub open 24 hours a day, plenty of games like horseshoe and shuffleboard and a KampK9 for your four-legged friends.

Outside of camp, you're perfectly positioned for beach days and Gulf Coast exploration. Spend your time taking in shoreline views, browsing local shops and restaurants, or planning a day out on the water - then come back to camp for an easy evening under the palms!

Did you know that Ouray is home to the largest continuous stretch of dinosaur prints in the world with an impressive 134 distinct footprints spanning 106 yards?

Two Ouray KOA employees took the hike a couple of weeks ago and not only were they impressed with the Dino tracks but the views up there are 🤩

If you’re interested, check out the details of the Silvershield Trail on . Please note it is a steep trail with drop offs and there is just under 1,700’ elevation gain in two miles. It’s a hike for sure, but it’s worth it!

Time for another , campers!

Rolling into the 2026 season with a great team (with more to come), and many upgrades we hope you’ll love!

Major projects that are almost complete:

🏔️Brand new WiFi and fiber optics
🏔️Completely remodeled guest laundry
🏔️Repaired pond at our front patio sites

Additionally, HummingBird Bakery is open in the cafe five days a week with coffee and homemade breakfast treats.

We are so excited to partner with to offer our guests stargazing experiences this summer.

Enjoy and evening under the Southwest Colorado dark skies as we step into the universe with a Unistellar Telescope experience. Guests can expect guided stargazing, deep-space views, and unforgettable moments exploring galaxies, nebulas, and planets like never before.

Our first experience is Friday, May 22, 2026, at 8:30 pm. If the weather does not permit, we will send a text to campground guests.
