Our second group of friends to stay at Ivy’s Haven have come and gone. It was a whirlwind week and we are so thankful we have this comfortable space for visitors!

We are a few steps closer to getting Ivy’s Haven up and officially running, as our guests took it upon themselves to finish a few projects on our To Do List!

Today we are truly grateful for our friends, our family, our friends that we call family, and this wonderful country we call home.

One step forward two steps back. Repairing and repainting the master bedroom ceiling. The old drywall screws popped. So we fixed those (hopefully) and the brown trim is actually there to cover the ever cracking drywall seams. 😑 I like the look but it just means more detailed ceiling painting for me.

These watercolor paintings are by local artist Maura Friedrich (I hope I am spelling that right!). I just love her work and bought several paintings that will hang here in Ivy’s Haven. They are exactly the feel I was searching for!

AND.....The hot plate tiles I of course found at Q’tiques ! :)

Ivy's Haven is not quite ready for public bookings but we had some friends stay this past weekend. They were the first to stay and it felt good to have a new, clean, and comfortable place to host friends. The To Do List is still fairly long but when I look at everything that is finished, I am grateful. And tired!!! :)
