Smoke Show on the Frio 2026 has officially been recognized by the State of Texas, and honestly… that’s a pretty big deal for a barbecue cook-off on the banks of the Frio River.

What started as an idea has grown into a Texas State Championship BBQ Competition bringing together pitmasters, families, music, youth divisions, local businesses, and visitors from all over the state.

And the best part? We’re just getting started. 🔥🌊

Unpacking an RV at Clearwater Ranch & Resort is kind of like unpacking future memories. 🌊🚐❤️

The fishing poles come out first. Then the tubes. Then somebody starts setting up chairs like they’re building a tiny neighborhood for the weekend. 😂

Before long, there’s wet towels hanging outside, kids running around barefoot, stories getting told under the awning, and plans being made for “one more float” before dinner.

That’s the good stuff right there.
