Every room at La Borde House Hotel has a story to tell... and during Preservation Month, we’re shining a light on two of our historic favorites: the Ringgold and the Rio Grande.

The Rio Grande Room holds a unique place in our community’s history, having hosted then U.S. presidential candidate and civil rights advocate Robert F. Kennedy during La Casita Strikes of the 1960s. It stands as a reminder of an important chapter in South Texas history and the voices that helped shape change.

The Ringgold Room captures the timeless charm of La Borde House with its twin beds, vintage character, and old-fashioned tub that reflects the elegance of a bygone era.

Come visit the unique and beautiful La Borde House and spend a night or two in our Historic rooms.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Starr County Veterans Service Office for providing our community with a respectful and proper way to retire Old Glory. This meaningful service helps ensure that worn American flags are honored with the dignity they deserve. 🇺🇸

Today, we deposited flags that have hung in the front of La Borde House. Preserving history also means honoring the symbols that represent our nation, our veterans, and the sacrifices made for our freedoms.
