This month’s featured artist is Sarah Wesson, a talented local artist from Ripton. Her work will be on display throughout the month for guests and visitors to enjoy.

We’re excited to make this a monthly tradition by featuring a new local artist each month and hosting an opening reception to celebrate their work and bring our community together.

☀️ Happy July!

We’re so excited to finally be opening our doors at the Chipman Inn! Join us for our Grand Opening on July 9.

Starting this month, we’ll be serving coffee in the mornings and opening the bar in the evenings. Stop by for coffee, tea, smoothies, and a light breakfast, then come back later for drinks and small bites.

We’ll also be hosting Wednesday workshops, live music, special dinners, and other community events throughout the summer. Be sure to check out our July calendar and stay tuned—there’s so much more to come!

🍁 Vermont’s sweetest season is here.

Just behind the inn, our little sugarbush is waking up. The days are getting warmer, the nights are still cold, and the maple trees are starting to run — which means it’s time to tap them and collect the sap that will become our very own maple syrup.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be gathering sap right here on the property and slowly boiling it down into small batches of pure Vermont maple syrup that we’ll have available at the inn.

Fun fact: it takes about 40 gallons of maple sap to make just 1 gallon of syrup, which is why every drop feels a little bit magical. Vermont also produces more maple syrup than any other state in the U.S. — over half of the country’s supply.

There’s something special about watching this process happen right outside the door. Winter slowly turning into spring, one bucket of sap at a time. 🍁
