Thanks, Audrey. We think it’s pretty great too. ❤️🌲

Reading the entries in cabin guest books is one of our favorite things to do at Robert Frost Mountain Cabins. Art, poems, songs, photos, and memories galore. It never gets old.

Nature’s first green is gold... but her first scarlet? That’s pure autumn knocking. 🍁

Even if the calendar says otherwise, the Green Mountains have officially spoken: fall is well on its way to Robert Frost Mountain Cabins.

Want to know what’s up at RFMC right now?

✨ BLACKBERRIES. So many blackberries. ✨

These are all a wild variety native to the Green Mountains and they are prolific in number and in fruit. The trick to picking blackberries - beyond avoiding the thorns 😬 - is to lightly touch the blackest of them with the most swollen drupelets (the individual parts of the berry itself). If the berry falls into your hand, it will be the sweetest most satisfying blackberry you’ve ever had. If it shows any sign of resistance to being picked, it’s not ready and you should leave it lest you be disappointed by its yet bitter flavor.

The bushes are covered in new fruit as well as ripe ready to eat treasures and will be through October. Check your calendar and see when you can come up to pick your own at no additional cost to your reservation 🤤🧑‍🌾⛰️

If you’ve stayed with us before, you’re familiar with our standard cabin welcome signs. They’re fine. They’re functional. They look great on a scrapbook page or nestled quietly in a drawer next to old birthday cards. But souvenir worth showing off? Not so much.

Enter Jaime.

Taking our standard "nice little touch" to a new level, we now offer the option of a proper memento that won't end up in the recycling bin. Jaime’s new Custom Keepsake Welcome Signs are hand-drawn on heavy cardstock and laminated for durability.

And the best part? The designs are entirely personalized using details you provide—colors, themes, pets, favorite local flora, you name it—to start your stay the right way:

🎉 Commemorating a milestone birthday? Easy.
🥰 Celebrating a special anniversary? Of course!
🧘 Tongue-in-cheek placard recognizing a weekend of doing absolutely nothing in the woods? Yep, can do that too.

Swipe through to see three of Jaime's latest creations! 👉

Ready to add a personal touch to your next visit? You can easily add a keepsake welcome sign to your reservation when booking and take home a customized little piece of RFMC magic.

It’s been a hot few days on the mountain! ☀️⛰️
June suggests checking out local swimming holes to beat the heat! We suggest skipping the pond on the property, and instead heading 10 minutes down the mountain to the East Middlebury Gorge.

Fall obligations currently trail far behind fresh mountain air and zero plans on the priority list. 🧘⛰️🌻🌲✨

It’s pretty beautiful up here right now, and we still have a few open spots for a last-minute summer escape before your calendar remembers it exists.

Fresh-picked blueberries in the morning, sunset mountain views at night. Not a bad itinerary, right? 🫐🥞

We’re fully in blueberry season over here, and we’ve got a spot saved just for you. Come stay with us, wander our on-site patches, and revel in the full flavor of Vermont summer.

If you’re game for a wild blueberry adventure worthy of Little Sal (and Little Bear, for that matter), Green Mountain National Forest’s Blueberry Hill is a short, scenic drive from here and it is currently BLANKETED in ripe wild blueberries. There will be blackberries there this fall too, so whether you come up now or wait a month or so, it is sure to be a fantastic summer memory for the whole family. 🥰

Check our available dates at the link in bio!
