This Ashes to Beauty weekend was filled with firsts.
For the first time at A2B, everyone came directly into camp through our new parking lot. We introduced a couple of new worship songs and a new (to A2B) LED screen that gave our space a real glow-up! We incorporated a brand new time of blessing for our widows. For the first time, we gathered together in the auditorium for baptisms—and 54 women took that step of faith! And perhaps most powerful of all, we heard testimony after testimony from women sharing what God has done in their lives—many of them telling their stories publicly for the very first time.
But beyond all the firsts, there was one thing that remained the same: Jesus was in the middle of it all.
Chains were broken. Hearts were restored. Relationships were formed. Women found freedom, healing, hope, and a deeper understanding of the beauty God can bring from the ashes.
What a privilege to watch God take broken places and bring beauty, redemption, and new life.
We’re so grateful for every woman who said yes to attending and serving this weekend, every testimony that was shared, and above all grateful to the Lord for every life that was changed.
This is what happens when women encounter Jesus.
