Late Saturday evening a potential customer called with a need to air condition a small space where a motivational mural was peeling away from the wall due to humidity. Existing system needed a control board hopefully arriving in a week. Met Sunday morning 8am sharp with a couple of water-cooled 1.5 ton spot coolers. Mural saved! 1st Cooling is growing and looking for the right person to add to our team.

Our company is looking for a Delivery Driver/Tech position located in Rockwall, TX. As a Delivery Driver/Tech, you will be responsible for safely driving and delivering products to our customers and for installing equipment at their desired location. Additionally, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various cooling and heating equipment and providing basic technical support to customers who need assistance with using our equipment.

Prior experience in a delivery or driving role using phone for texting and GPS
Basic technical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and providing technical support
US citizen, valid driver's license and a clean driving record
No Felony charges
Able to lift and carry heavy equipment if needed
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Prior experience in HVAC or related field is a plus
High school diploma or GED equivalents
7x24 On-call shifts required during busy season.

Small gym ac system not able to keep up with the Texas heat. Customer called at 10am. After a quick site visit, quote, approval, electricians coordinated, a transformer and 12ton mobile unit is on the way. Blowing cold at 5:30 just in time for after school events. Monday morning 3:30am, customer calls and explains his small laundromat ac system is not keeping up with 106 degree Texas heat. Customers are leaving. He has a day job and cannot be there after discussing a budget and solution. Onsite at 9:00am with a 5 ton portable ac after coordinating an electrician to provide power. 10:30am the portable ac unit is helping keep temps in line.
