When Peggy Bray’s granddaughter Alicia reached out to The Regency Room, she hoped to recreate a cherished memory: a favorite crab cake dinner from years past that Peggy still spoke of with a smile.

Diane Speaks shared the request with General Manager Brian Wells. Together with Chef Wells Selbe and the team, they carefully brought that beloved meal back to the table for one special evening.“It’s rare these days we get to recreate memories,” Alicia wrote.

At The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, it is a privilege to make moments like these possible through thoughtful details, personal attention, and a team that understands how much one special dinner can mean.

A record-breaking night for an incredible local mission.

We were honored to host the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center of Roanoke’s Night Owl on the Town Gala, where the generosity of our community helped raise a record gross of $162,000.

We love welcoming this event to The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center each year and seeing our ballroom filled with supporters united behind the Center’s important work. Congratulations to its staff, volunteers, sponsors, donors and guests for making this year’s gala the most successful yet.

Thank you for allowing our team to play a part in such a memorable evening. We are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next year!
