To say we've had a little rain lately would be an understatement. Over 12 inches over 3 days, trees dropping like flies-it has rained every day for over a week. Even had a tornado warning last night. A couple of power outages and water line damage. It's all fun and games when you live in the mountains.

More of the best folks on the trail. And a few Elk I spied in the Smokies this morning. There was no traffic, so I stopped just to listen. Very relaxing to hear them quietly munching on the fresh grasses. They were unperturbed by my presence

The latest group of happy hikers to pass through. Looks like the numbers are down again this year. At m150, traditionally the big drop off happens May 15th. Last 2 years it was May 1st. This year, it was April 22nd. Thanks to all that looked us up-and to those still trickling through!
