Section V Cheerleading Judges Association The purpose of this organization shall be to service the scholastic cheerleading programs in the Section V. Under the central organization of NYSCJA.

(New York State Cheerleading Judges Association)

The SVCJA (established May 12, 2015) shall:
1. Establish standards for competent Judges.
2. Train members using high school rules interpretations.
3. Promote uniformity and efficiency in the matter of cheerleading rules, interpretation, application and administration.
4. Distribute materials pertinent to officiating, including rule interpretations,

scoring system material, training, and administering examinations.
5. Provide approved judges for cheerleading competitions.
6. Promote safety, good sportsmanship, quality of officiating and education.

Are you interested in becoming a cheerleading official? The 2026 SVCJA Judges Application is now available for you to complete.
Please note that we have only a few openings, as we limit the number of judges. If you feel you are qualified, apply by May 31st.
​NOTE: To be considered you must reside within Section V, be 21 yrs old. and not a current scholastic cheerleading coach.
