It is with much great sadness to let everyone know My Robert passed away April 7, 2023!
His heartfelt passion was Hiking Michigan!
Over the past 2 years his health issues were overwhelming him and the battle was lost.
Rob’s happiest moments were from all of you thru hikes, posts, emails and texts.
I want to thank each and every one of you for keeping his passion going!

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. A funeral service for Robert will take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Baptist Church, 2024 Pontiac Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 with the family accepting guest at 10:30 AM.

The next snowfall with some accumulation, and we are heading out for a Snowman build or sledding. Which one does most of you prefer??? Monster sledding hills, or something a little slower and less dangerous. Let me know Gang.

Michigan is quickly becoming the USAs biggest producer of TICKS! Went for a couple of Bike rides and short Hikes, to put together a brand new Schedule. Got Ticks on almost every exploratory Hike & Bike. Time to do the "Tick Dance" after each outing. Check out some of the Tick sheets, on the DOWNLOADS page of the web site. www.hikingmichigan.com

Perfect timing! Use the Animal Tracks ID sheets to see what critters are roaming specific areas. Even around the local Trails or your own backyard. Just like use humans, the critters use many of the same routes to feed and get water. See what roams your area.
