There’s something special happening here 🏗️

Our new Hotel, thoughtfully being brought back to life within a beautiful historic building l, is steadily taking shape right in the heart of this welcoming community we are so proud to be part of.

Construction is moving along! Like any project of this scale, we’ve experienced a few delays along the way- but that’s all part of the process we plan for. Even if it may seem like not much is changing from the outside, we promise there’s been a whole lot happening behind the scenes.

We’ve been busy networking, volunteering, and connecting with our incredible community- while also diving deep into every detail that will make your future stay unforgettable. From testing countless mattresses, sheets, and towels for peak comfort….to attending endless trade shows to source the newest and best products… to sampling shower gels, curating scents, selecting music, refining color palettes, choosing fitness equipment, and meeting with amazing coffee roasters - our list keeps growing.

Every choice is being made with intention, care, and you in mind.

We’re getting closer to opening day, and we can’t wait to share more of this journey with you.

Happy New Year everyone!

There is a lull when you're under construction, a period during which stuff is happening but nothing looks different. We've been in that state for a while and will be for a bit longer. Big projects have a moving timeline. We're looking at a spring opening now, which is ideal timing anyway 😎 Behind the scenes we're working on the details to make the guest experience at this hotel amazing and memorable. Here's a fun bit of history. There is a long, narrow trap door in the floor of the former Odd Fellows meeting hall. The size and placement indicate a ritualistic purpose: allowing someone to enter or exit the hall in a dramatic fashion during ceremonies, or allowing access to a lower chamber that might have been a staging area for props or ceremonial pieces. The Odd Fellows often used skeletons and prop coffins in their rituals to symbolize mortality.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows was founded in 1819 in the US, an offshoot of the Order of Odd Fellows which was founded in England in 1730. At its peak, there were more than 2 million members of the IOOF in the US, and 10,000 lodges. This former lodge, as you might guess, was built in 1875.
