Before the Lantern, these walls had stories of their own. ✨

For nearly a century, this Rock Hill landmark has welcomed guests, hosted gatherings, made music, and stood through generations of change.

Now, we have the privilege of writing its next chapter by bringing hospitality back to these halls.

We're so proud to have this opportunity and can't wait to welcome you in our doors Summer 2027.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and we're celebrating the people in our community who remind us daily what real inclusion looks like.

At the Lantern, that shows up in who we hire, who we work alongside, and who makes this place what it is. This month, and every month, we're proud to celebrate them.

Happy Down Syndrome Awareness Month from all of us here.

Hospitality with a purpose that goes far beyond your stay. ✨

At The Lantern, inclusion is part of the experience. By creating meaningful opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we’re building a place where exceptional hospitality and lasting impact go hand in hand.

Because every stay has the opportunity to mean something more. 🗝️

Opening in 2027 at 223 East Main Street, The Lantern brings this landmark back to its original purpose: a place of welcome, with a restaurant, a members-only cocktail lounge, and event spaces inside its original ironwork and arched windows.

Through a partnership with Winthrop University's LIFE program, The Lantern is also built to employ adults of all abilities.

History, reimagined with purpose, this is the Lantern! ✨

Meet Lantern RH.

Tucked inside the historic Andrew Jackson building on Main Street, we're bringing the city its first boutique hotel, opening Summer 2027.

Here you'll find a beautifully restored piece of history, fifty-six rooms, a full service restaurant and bar spilling onto the Main Street patio, a ballroom and private dining room for the bigger moments, and a members only lounge tucked away below it all.

While we can't wait to show off all of that beauty, there's more happening here than a renovation. This hotel is being built to create real jobs for adults with disabilities, right here on our own staff. Every stay will help make that possible.

Follow along as we bring this building back to life.
