If you are planning a fall trip to Hocking Hills, there are several options to avoid the crowds. Two new (permit only) nature preserves are within 3 miles of Thunder Ridge - Honeycomb Rocks & Big Cola Wetlands. Simply apply online and a permit is sent to you via email. If you would like to know of more off the beaten path trails, enquire at check in.

Hi everyone. It's drummer's weekend at Thunder Ridge. Iggy Garcia is facilitating Gathering of 1,000 Drummers at Ash Cave this Sunday. If you are headed to the area, and need a place to stay, all three of our cabins are available. There will be drumming here for guests all weekend around the fire ring until 10:30 pm. So pack up your flow toys and noise makers. Let's have some fun!

Happy Summer! Yes, it's true...Otter Lodge has been remodeled. We have vacancies for the 4th of July weekend with only a 2 night minimum in all 3 of our cabins. We hope to serve you this summer! Have a safe holiday.

Happy Spring! The cabins are spring cleaned and ready to roll for 2026 adventurers! The migratory birds are arriving for morning chorus, wild flowers are blooming, and the water falls are roaring. We would love to serve you again this year! Oh, and there is an 18 hole disc golf course here to play as much as you would like! :D
