We’re turning bad weather into a good time 🌧️

All summer long, we’re running happy hour on the rooftop any time it rains until the sun comes back out. It’s gonna be a good time no matter the weather, but with discounted drinks and $2 oysters, go ahead and check the forecast because rooting for rain never felt so good.

Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse and Schooner Grace Bailey- Good morning from the sunny Coast of Maine. I had to earn this shot I took yesterday afternoon, one mile out and one mile back! The Rockland breakwater always amazes me and when people ask me for suggestions on what to do when visiting, it’s on my short list. I was happy to see some of the sails up on Sail Grace Bailey as it went past the lighthouse and yes, I would love to have seen more! The Bufflehead in front was a bonus.

How is everyone? We could see mid eighties today, a good day to go for a sail! I’ll be heading downtown later today to deliver more coffee to Camden Deli. We love having our coffee served there!

Hike Beech Hill Preserve
For an easy hike with an incredible payoff, head to the Beech Hill Preserve. A gentle, mile-long trail leads you through organic blueberry fields to the summit. At the top sits Beech Nut, a historic stone hut, offering panoramic, 360-degree views of Penobscot Bay and the surrounding hills.

Summit Trail: Beech Hill Road. Woods Trail: Rockville Street. The Summit Trail offers views of the Bay and mountains. Beech Nut, built in 1914, is a stone hut on top of the hill. The preserve is managed for bird habitat and organic blueberries.
