A nice little surprise to start the week.

“We booked this on a complete last-minute Fourth of July whim and could not have been happier with our stay.

The Carriage House was beautiful, with a full kitchen and enough room for my husband and me to have our own spaces when needed. The décor was classy, and the A/C worked perfectly during the unexpected 100-degree heat.

We can’t wait to come back.

I also highly recommend Rockport as a fun, quintessential New England coastal town—especially on the Fourth of July.

The perfect Saturday in Rockport? We think this might be it.

Next Saturday, July 11, Rockport Music’s brand-new On the Town festival transforms downtown into one big stage with more than 30 free performances, live music, contemporary circus, family activities, and plenty of reasons to wander from Front Beach to Bearskin Neck.

If you’ve been looking for the perfect weekend to visit Rockport, this is a pretty good excuse.
