🐥😂 Well… these guys didn’t get the memo.

One of the best parts of staying at Lawrence’s Lakeside Cabins is that wildlife is part of the experience. Whether it’s ducks taking over the road, loons calling across the lake, bald eagles soaring overhead, or the occasional moose sighting, you never know what nature has in store.

So, while the ducks may be taking their time… we’d recommend you don’t! Fall weekends and holiday dates fill up quickly.

🍂 Some of the best views in Maine are just a short boat ride away. 🚤

One of our favorite adventures from Lawrence’s Lakeside Cabins is a trip across Moosehead Lake to Mount Kineo, especially when the fall colors are at their peak. The ride itself is unforgettable, with brilliant reds, oranges, and golds reflecting off the water.

Getting there is easy:
🚤 Rent a boat right next door and explore the lake at your own pace, or
⛴️ Take a short quarter-mile walk from the cabins to the public ferry landing and enjoy the scenic ride across to the mountain.

Once you arrive, hike Mount Kineo for panoramic views that make every step worth it. It’s one of those experiences you’ll be talking about long after your vacation ends.
