Our 12 waterfront cabins are located on the Moose River in the Moosehead Lake Region of Maine. Guests have gathered here for over 50 years to relax, rejuvinate and create wonderful memories. All while experiencing the serenity of the surrounding woods, waters and mountains.

Fun Facts about Moosehead’s Barred Owls.
-Year round residents
-Dark solid eyes
-Nocturnal, but can be found roosting during the day.
-Great at hunting and fishing
-Nest in burrows with 2-3 eggs
-Have increased in population density
-Their call is very distinct.
