Aloha! Luau Bash Weekend is Almost Here!

Get ready for a tropical escape right here at Hickory Hollow Campground as we celebrate Luau Bash Weekend on Saturday, June 27th!

Create your own little piece of paradise to take home.

Hop aboard and enjoy a relaxing ride around the campground.

Join your camping friends for an evening of tropical food, music, dancing, and fun!

🍍 Help Us Bring the Islands to Hickory Hollow!
We encourage everyone attending the Luau to decorate their tables with a Hawaiian theme. Think tiki torches, tropical flowers, leis, pineapples, beach décor, palm leaves, colorful lights, and anything that says "Aloha!"

👕 Dress for the Occasion
Break out your Hawaiian shirts, tropical dresses, flower leis, grass skirts, sunglasses, and beach attire. The brighter and more colorful, the better!

🥥 Covered Dish Potluck
Please consider bringing a Hawaiian or tropical-themed dish to share with your fellow campers. Some fun ideas include Hawaiian meatballs, pineapple dishes, tropical fruit salads, coconut desserts, pulled pork sliders, island-style dips, or your favorite family recipe with a tropical twist.

WHAT A TOTALLY RAD NIGHT!

Our Neon Lights & Campfire Nights 80's Dance Party was an absolute blast, and we couldn't have asked for a better crowd to help make it such a memorable evening at Hickory Hollow Campground!

From the moment the music started, the dance floor was packed with campers showing off their best moves to all the classic 80's hits. We loved seeing so many of you fully embrace the theme with your incredible outfits, creative decorations, and delicious throwback snacks and appetizers. The energy, laughter, and fun were contagious all night long!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated! If you were there, we'd love to see the night through your eyes! Thank You for Joining Us for Wilderness Wonders / Nature Weekend!

A big thank you to everyone who participated in our Make-A-Bird-Feeder Craft and our first-ever Bird Bingo Challenge. It was great seeing so many campers of all ages discovering the amazing birds and wildlife that call Hickory Hollow home. From colorful cardinals and bluebirds to hawks and eagles, there were plenty of feathered friends to spot throughout the campground!

Congratulations to our Bird Bingo Champions! Laura Seybold & Taelynn Blystone – Site 16 . Please stop by the Campground Office to claim your prize – a new set of binoculars!

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our campers for your patience and understanding during the severe weather that moved through the area on Saturday evening. Mother Nature certainly gave us a little extra "wilderness adventure" including 6 hours of "primitive" camping! We appreciate everyone weathering the storm with us and your cooperation while crews worked to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Kudo's to the linemen at Somerset Rural Electric for the important work that they do under very difficult conditions. 👏👏

Despite the unexpected weather, it was wonderful to see the campground community come together and make the best of the weekend. That's one of the many things that makes Hickory Hollow such a special place.

Thank you again for spending your weekend with us. We look forward to seeing everyone back around the campground for more fun, activities, and adventures throughout the season!
