I added two more weapons to my arsenal the past couple weeks. A 885 Traeger pellet smoker and a 2 basket stainless steal fryer.
I have 60+ mouths to feed this weekend so we will be running both fryers and I plan to have some venison treats for the guests off the smoker!!

Midwest Outdoors winter series starts in December so get these dates on you calendar. Anyone and everyone can fish these. Heck I might even pull out my 2 bass lures I found on the lake and fish a few of these!!! Great tournaments with great guys!!
Also the Sportsman is putting up $100 for each tournament for the biggest crappie!!! Lots of ways to win $$

Lake of the Ozarks Crappie Club Tournament — October 17th

Let’s get as many anglers on the water as we can! Whether you’re new to tournament fishing or have years of experience, this tournament is open to all skill levels.

The fishing zone will be drawn out of a hat 48 hours before the tournament. We’ll draw from Zones 1–3 and announce the selected zone and weigh-in location. Weigh-in will be at either Sportsman Lodge or Laketime RV, depending on the zone drawn.

Tournament Details

• Lines in at 7 a.m. and lines out at 3 p.m.
• Trailering is allowed.
• 5-fish limit—all fish must be alive.
• Entry fee: $50 for members and $75 for nonmembers.
• Big fish pot: $10.
• All participants must complete a liability waiver.

Our first three tournaments give anybody a chance to win! Come enjoy great camaraderie, share tips with a knowledgeable group of fishermen, and make some new fishing friends. We usually eat pretty good, too!

Bring your fishing partner, invite your friends, and help us make this a great turnout. We look forward to seeing everyone on October 17th!

Tournament Fishing Zones

• Zone 1: Dam to the Toll Bridge
• Zone 2: Toll Bridge to Hurricane Deck
• Zone 3: Toll Bridge up the river

The tournament zone will be drawn 48 hours before the event. All fishing must stay within the selected zone. Fishing outside that zone will result in automatic disqualification.

Yesterday was a great day! Iowa State pulled off a big win, Missouri put a beat down on Florida, and the Sportsman’s guests ate like kings! Pulled pork, cheese potato’s, baked beans and coleslaw! To end the night with tournament prizes!!

Day 1 is completed for the Big Bass Bash. The guys are rolling into the Sportsman now so in an hour they will be coming up to eat and handing me their scale tickets. I want to thank Jay Beffa for the Strike Force fish attractant, Mitch Fields for all the Tackle Max Fugitive swim baits. Denny Dennis for the spinner baits and Scott Morris for all the Custom Crappie Cranks! Our guests really enjoy this side tournament!

Friday night of the Big Bass Bash and we literally had a Meat and Greet!! What a meal for fishing kings!!! Good luck today guys today and be safe out there!

This is the text I just sent all my guests! Yes you can say I spoil them!!!!

Friday at 6pm come up to the event room. I will have 4 charcoal grills ready to throw meat on along with sides. You’re welcome to bring a meat or side and we will enjoy a grilling party.

Also Saturday the Sportsman will be doing the tournament again so make sure you bring your BBB weigh tickets in for a chance to win. Will have something for the top 10 weights. Also will have a feast of pulled pork and sides up front starting at 5:30.
Good Luck this weekend and bring home the $100k!!!
