We have a wonderfully talented local photographer in Rocky Mount. Beth stopped by last week, in the incredible heat, and took some glorious shots of our garden. Did you know that the Inn has a book club that meets once a month?

Meet Booked at the Inn Book Club.

If you are local and love to read and meet other readers, join us in August for a meet and greet with our group AND local author visit with Betsy Henny.

We normally meet at the Inn, but the August 11 meeting will be held at Read Between the Wines Book Store, in Union Hall, at 7:00 pm.

It will be a fun evening of exploring books, meeting Betsy and hearing her wonderful stories, and finding your reading cohorts.

Summer is in full swing here in Rocky Mount! There is a little secret that I need to share that is not only open during the summer, but until Christmas season too.

Have you ever taken a stroll through the Rocky Mount Farmers Market? If not, you have missed a treat and a wonderful opprtunity to find fresh local produce, flowers, baked goods, crafts, meet local farmers and artisans and enjoy some open air music.

It is located in the Downtown Historic District, across from The Harvester.
Open Saturday mornings.

If you are staying with us, be sure to visit rhis downtown gem, just a short walk from the inn's front porch. Be certain that you'll find some wonderful delights from the market on our breakfast table too!

Join us in welcoming Megan Palmer (with that fabulous red hair), new owner of The Whole Bean Coffeehouse, in the downtown historic district of Rocky Mount. We love partnering with this wonderful coffee shop and cafe! Megan has lots of great new plans to expand the hours and offerings. I love to refer our guests to The Whole Bean, especially since it's just a few steps from our front porch.

Stop by and meet this sweet lady today or tomorrow, because after this weekend, the shop will be closed for a few weeks for a refresh and update. We can't wait to see the new reveal in August!

Happy 250th Birthday, USA! 🇺🇸

This old house has seen a lot of history locally and nationally throughout its 131 years.

We are dressed and ready to celebrate!
