We are excited to announce that after using a Property Manager for the past 6 years we have decided to go out on our own and self manage!! We are excited to have an awesome team to work with us…Maintenance, house keeping, property inspector, pool/spa etc. & will be listing our house on VRBO and other platforms soon, but we are also coming up with our own lease for direct booking to save even more fees for our renters. Please bear with us as we are just starting the process, and will need some time to come up with everything we need to get started online. I’ve had a few people reach out already and I have taken deposits on weeks for 2027…So if you’re interested please don’t hesitate to reach out! Wish us luck as we take on this new adventure!! 🌅 🏝️

Had to visit The Black Pearl…but there’s nothing quite like the peace of the Outer Banks in the off-season. The crowds are gone, the air is crisp, and you have these wide-open beaches all to yourself. It’s the perfect time to reset. Have you ever visited OBX when it's quiet like this?

Got some landscaping done…Pool lady said the trees were putting crap in the pool, but we didn’t want to cut them down and lose privacy…so we hacked them lol! Don’t mind my Uncle the mosquitoes were bad the one day and got his face 😳 So he put the towel on his head lol! Ed and my uncle also built a roof over the pool heater to help when the hot tub is draining so it doesn’t drain right over top of the heater. These 2 weeks flew by!?! Leaving tomorrow so we can cut grass at home and our camp…before heading to Akron to watch our middle daughter play on Sunday, Go Zips!! We still have some Sept and Oct weeks open reach out if interested in renting!! It’s been beautiful weather these past 2 weeks!! Don’t miss out! 🏝️

Ok we are looking for some advice from you all, but especially from those of you who have stayed here before. We switched the game room from the shipwatch on the 4th floor down to the 1st floor bedroom just off the pool deck area. The 1st floor has a master bathroom that everyone uses while in the pool. The shipwatch bathroom is down 1 floor off the living room area. We love having a full fridge in that 1st floor bedroom, and everyone walks through there to get to the pool…I guess our concern is would that bother people having that be a king size bedroom again with a fridge in it and people walking through all the time while using the pool? And with the 4th floor it would be more private but there’s no door so the noise from the living room area does travel upstairs to the shipwatch. Should we switch them back and put the king bedroom back down on 1st floor keep the fridge in the corner by the sliding door…& move the day bed with trundle back upstairs and set it up more like a game room in the shipwatch?
