Our Camp Director, Austin Bancroft, and board member Ruth Barrett recently visited the Teaching Garden at Manchester University (MU). 🌱🌿 Created and cared for by Environmental Studies students, the garden is also part of the internship work of Greta Ludwig and CoCo Rosales – two of our beloved camp volunteers!
While in North Manchester, they also met with MU faculty to explore opportunities for retreats, conferences, donations to and volunteer experiences at Camp Brethren Heights. Their Environmental Studies department kindly donated taxidermy animals, shadowboxes, nature study books, and other items to our nature studies program. MU’s Biology department also donated some microscopes!
Our Don Stroup Nature Center is now further outfitted to educate campers about God’s creation on camp property - thank you, Manchester University. We’re always grateful for opportunities to build connections and explore new ways to welcome others to camp! 💚
