This non-profit organization founded in 1983 by Marc Player, works to supply educational opportunities and a better life for impoverished children around the world. What began as one man’s effort to provide education, nutrition, medical care and athletic activities for a small community of children living on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa now stretches around the globe. With over $69 million dollars already donated to children’s charities, the Foundation receives most of its funding through the Player Invitational charity tournaments held four times a year. These Invitationals will take place in Europe, China, USA, and South Africa, each time pairing celebrities and professional golfers with businessmen and international sports figures.
