Some people become part of the heart of a community simply by always being there. Ben Cunningham was one of those people.
The Floyd County Wildlife Association mourns the loss of a trusted friend, Georgia Department of Natural Resources Game Warden Ben Cunningham—our “Ranger.”
Whether it was a National Wild Turkey Federation or Ducks Unlimited event, a poaching concern, hunter safety education, or anything in between, Ben was there.
He shared his knowledge, answered our questions, and helped protect the wildlife and outdoor traditions we treasure.
His presence meant something to this club. So did his willingness to help. We will miss the familiar face, the friendship, and the reassurance of knowing we could count on him.
Our prayers are with Ben’s family, his DNR family, and everyone who knew and loved him.
Thank you, Ben, for always being there. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
