Dear Team Bart O',
I hope this message finds you well and still basking in the glow of the tremendous success of the recent Foosball event at Kalahari Resort. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the remarkable effort and dedication each one of you contributed to making this event an unforgettable experience.
From the moment I walked into the Resort, 8 months ago, long before the tournament began, it was evident that the Kalahari Resort was the perfect venue choice. Its magnificence truly lived up to the hype, and I'm thrilled that we could all be a part of history for Texas and for Foosball events in the United States.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each member of Team Bart O'.
Brittney McDonald, your swift and efficient handling of the event, even on such short notice, was nothing short of impressive. You effortlessly managed the brackets, charts, players, and tables, wearing many hats with grace and style. Your dedication was crucial to keeping the event running smoothly, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner to work alongside.
Dawid Kala, your commitment knows no bounds. Flying in all the way from Poland to support us, despite jet lag and exhaustion, speaks volumes about your dedication to the cause. Your House of Tournament software was integral to the event's success, and your willingness to step in on short notice truly saved the day.
Ben Kempner, your guidance and support throughout the planning and ex*****on of the event were invaluable. I am honored that you entrusted me with such a significant responsibility, and the heartfelt ceremony and celebration you organized will forever be etched in my memory. Your positivity and energy contributed immensely to the event's atmosphere, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you.
Cissi Whipple, your dedication to ensuring that the guests, rooms and reservations went smoothly long before the event started. Also, your contribution for collecting names and welcoming the families and friends of the fallen Foosers.
The tireless efforts of the TABLE crew – Spirit, Scott, Shane, Kenneth, and Justin – were truly outstanding. Your collective commitment to getting the job done seamlessly, from setup to tear-down, played an enormous role in the event's overall success.
Anthony Ortega, your contributions with the Audio for the room work perfectly. Thank you for your ability to gather equipment that added an extra layer of excellence to the event, and I'm grateful for your involvement.
Marianne, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your outstanding contribution during the Bart O’. Your presence at the registration desk, marked by your bright smile and friendly demeanor, was truly a source of warmth and comfort for all of us.
Navigating the complexities of software can often be challenging, especially in the midst of an event where time is of the essence. Your willingness to step up and guide both the players while we went through the learning process was invaluable. Your patient assistance and approach-ability turned what could have been a daunting task into a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Grady, man did we need that help! You came up big on that last day! That doesn’t mean I didn’t notice the work you put in prior. Thank you for filling in and helping the Bart O’ team.

Bart O’Hearn Celebration of Life Tournament

The Bart O’Hearn Celebration is a one of kind event in Austin Texas that has celebrated the lives of over 200 fallen foosers since 1999. What started as a relatively small memorial tournament thrown in honor and remembrance of Bart O’Hearn, a local Austin player, has since taken on a life of its own, celebrating the lives of all our beloved fallen foos family that have left us too soon and attended by hundreds from all over the US and abroad. It has become the most meaningful event in the hearts of the foosball community.
