Something very sweet is buzzing around the property... 🐝

This year, we decided to expand our little slice of Texas by welcoming our very first hives. Beekeeping is a true exercise in patience—it often takes a full year or more for a new colony to settle in, build up their comb, and really start producing.

While we're playing the waiting game, we are so inspired watching these hard-working pollinators weave themselves into the local ecosystem. It’s all part of our ongoing journey to honor the land, slow down, and build a more connected, sustainable experience right here in Round Top.

Thanks for being on this journey with us!

And stay tuned—we're hoping to share honey with our guests next year! 🍯

Meet the newest (and fluffiest) members of the family.

This year, we decided to lean a little deeper into our roots by welcoming a flock of chickens to the property. Watching them scratch around the pasture, we’re reminded of what slow living is all about—respecting the land, tuning into the rhythm of the seasons, and finding meaningful ways to connect with the incredible Texas farmland we call home.

And they’ve officially started laying! 🥚There is something endlessly satisfying about gathering fresh, golden eggs right here on the acreage and knowing we’re building a more sustainable, grounded experience.

We’ve had a long-standing vision to build a wellness space that helps guests slow down, reconnect with themselves and truly unplug. We’re so close to sharing the new sauna with you! (In the meantime, we do have a temporary sauna on-site!)

🧘🏽 This is part of our wellness space, which includes a massage therapy room, red light therapy bed, gym/weight room and yoga deck. We're so thrilled to offer these benefits for group retreats, yoga stays, couple trips, and solo visits, an hour 1/2 outside of Austin and Houston.
