One of my favorite things about my new hometown is the ability to walk a couple blocks and purchase delicious, fresh food directly from farmers. Rest assured, if you stay at the Manor on Main, breakfast will include local farm-fresh eggs and whatever other local delights strike our fancy.
Join us at the market this week. We have a great group of vendors this week both on Saturday and on Tuesday.
Saturday hours are from 8 to Noon. Tuesday hours from 3:30 to 5:30 or 6PM.
Grateful Acres -- Tue only
We'll be bringing: all kinds of sausage (links and ground), bratwurst, kielbasa, bacon, boneless chops, ribs, roasts (boston butts, picnic roasts, loin roasts, smoked ham), a variety of steaks and ground beef.
Grateful Acres is a small farm located in Hurdle Mills. We believe in sustainable agriculture and knowing where your food comes from. We raise all of our animals as humanely as possible, and we do not use pesticides on our plants or trees. All of our animals roam the pastures and woodlots, bask in the sunshine, and breathe fresh air. We specialize in raising 100% Pure Berkshire Pigs.

Lee's Hill Top Farm
Lee's Hill Top is a family owned and operated small local farm. All of our animals are raised locally and on our farm where we use an all natural approach. Our animals are all raised on green pastures. We use honey bees for pollination. We grow most of the food our animals eat. We are hands on with the plants and animals every day.
We are excited to be back on Saturdays for another summer with the Person County Farmers Market. Lee's Hill Top is proud to bring our customers fresh, never frozen, chicken along with cuts of beef and pork. Along with our meats we have plants from our garden. Flowers (Nasturtiums, Marigolds, Zinnias, Pansies and many more), Herbs (Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Lavender, Rosemary and many more), and Vegetable plants (Tomatoes and Peppers). Cut herbs and eggs will also be available. Baby bunnies are ready for their new homes upon request.

Red Birds Farm
Red Birds Farm is a small farm located in Efland but we have deep farming roots in Person County. We strive to grow the way nature intended. We utilize only natural soil amendments to nourish our plants. No herbicides are used in the production and only organic approved pesticides shall be applied where needed.
Red Birds Farm is excited to be attending the Person County Farmer's Market this weekend. We spent the winter making preparations for this year and are proud to bring our fresh naturally grown produce to market. This weekend we will have:
Siberian and Red Russian Kale, Fordhook and Rhubarb Swiss Chard, Pac Choi, Radish, Fresh Herbs and three varieties of Lettuce--Romaine, Butterhead, and Crispino. We will also have our Free Range Brown Eggs for sale.

My necklaces and earrings are made with many elements including handmade beads, different stones such as amethyst, rose quartz, jade, turquoise, and many other ingredients that produce elegant jewelry at affordable prices.
Pendants are wire-wrapped in Sterling Silver-filled, 14Kt Gold-filled, copper, or brass. Many pendants feature hand-cut and hand-polished stones.
There are also selections of rings and bracelets. Bracelets include metal wire in Sterling Silver-filled, 14Kt Gold-filled, copper, or brass.
In addition, a series of Ear Cuffs are available. Particularly great for people without pierced ears, but can be used by anyone.
Other offerings include wineglass charms in sets of 6 and 8. Give each guest an individual jewelry ring to make their wineglass unique!

I have Flower Pouch® bags I’ll be planting to order at the market. Fat Boy’s has some great begonia hanging bags but I’ll be serving up other combinations such as petunias (full sun), Impatiens (morning sun or part shade), and herb combinations. You supply bedding plants of your choice – Lee’s Hill Top Farm and Fat Boy’s are favored sources – and I’ll supply bag, soil mix, and planting service.
I’ll also have some of my macramé plant hangers on display at Fatboy’s.
Dolores Carr
I design various craft items, from interior and exterior wooden plant stands, fabric gnomes, string bottles, treasure boxes, large fence flowers, and pine cones trees, all out of recycled wood, scrap cloth, and repurposed materials. Look for newly designed products through the summer.
My crafts are displayed at Fatboy's and is available for selection any time during the week during Fatboy's regular hours (Tue-Fri, 9-5; Sat, 9-1)
