BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
A couple months ago before the country went on lockdown, I mentioned a ride that would end at a Bike Event at a very cool and historic location. Due to the stay-at-home uncertainty, I've not been able to release the ride info...until now.

Get ready to ride along with me on a haunting ride through some of the most beautiful and historic areas of the Cumberland Plateau in East Tennessee. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be releasing historic info about some of the places we will be riding through. Some of the stories you know and some of them you might not.

The ride is FREE and we will be keeping a safe 6' distance on our bikes while wearing our helmets.

Details -
- Meet at the Shoney's in Caryville, TN -116 Main St, Caryville, TN 37714
- Kickstands up will be at 2:30pm EST
- If anyone wants to join the ride from Oneida, TN, we will be making a stop as we pass through. Just let me know.
- The ride will be approx. 2 hours and will end at the Historic R.M. Brooks General Store in Rugby, TN.
- Have one of their famous bologna sandwiches, listen to some live music and leave the General Store at your leisure.

I will create an event that you can RSVP to, so watch out for that.

My grandson Wesley's Craftsman Lawn Mower and Stihl W**d Eater fell from the back of his truck between Rugby by-pass and Thelma Frogge store on highway 52. Before he could get back someone picked them up. If you know of anyone who picked them up, please contact me or Wesley King at 423.627.7705. These were the means he used to make money for school and his sports activities. Thank you.

“STITCH IN”

Friday March 20 and Saturday March 21

A Hardanger Bookmark

If you would like to try something different join us for a weekend of fun stitching.
This bookmark is stitched on 28count Cashel linen using Perle cotton threads.
It is stitched using blanket, eyelet, and satin stitch.
The cost of the kit is $30.00. The kit includes a notebook, fabric, needles and 2 spools of thread.
On Friday evening we will have session discussing Hardanger embroidery and have time to practice
stitches used to stitch the bookmark.
We will begin class on Saturday morning, March 21st.
*This class is not for beginning stitchers.

Stitchers will need to supply:
Sharp scissors with a small blade--sharp point
4" embroidery hoop
Stitching light with a magnifier

The Embroidery Workshop event will be led by Marylin Roberts of Lafayette, Tennessee.
For twelve years Marylin has been a member of the Cheekwood Chapter of EGA in Nashville, TN
Upon retirement as a schoolteacher she enjoys all types of needlework.
Marylin will bring some of her needlework to share with you.
