We are so excited that the forest is finally out of Stage 1 Fire Danger!

Lincoln National Forest Enters Low Fire Danger Across all Three Districts

🌧Thanks to recent widespread rain across the forest, fire danger has been decreased from MODERATE to LOW as of 8:00am September 25, 2026.

🐻While this is welcome news, we ask everyone to continue practicing responsible campfire safety, ALWAYS keep campfires attended and make sure they are completely out before you leave.

🙏We appreciate everyone who has done their part in preventing human caused wildfires. Recreating responsibly helps keep forests healthy for future generations.

❗REMEMBER: Not all forests or jurisdictions are out of fire restrictions. Always “Know Before You Go” and check the restrictions for your destination.
