Camp Haccamo was honored to welcome Hilary Argentieri, Grant Specialist from the Golisano Foundation, for a visit with our leadership team and a tour of the camp. During her time with us, we shared personal stories about our connections to Camp Haccamo and insights about the daily operations that allow us to provide a safe, enriching, and inclusive experience for our campers. We are grateful for the Golisano Foundation's partnership in helping smiles grow at Camp Haccamo. Last night, our Board met right here at camp to see our campers in action—a powerful reminder of why we work so hard to make this place possible every year. We were honored to be joined by so many dedicated Rotary partners, including Irondequoit Rotary, Pittsford Rotary, Fairport Rotary Club, Penfield Rotary, Brighton Rotary Club - NY, USA, Spencerport Rotary, Webster Rotary Club, East Rochester Rotary Club, and the Rotary E-Club of Rotary District 7120.

A highlight of the night was presenting a special certificate of recognition to JoAnn Terry (Assistant District Governor & East Rochester Rotarian). JoAnn’s extraordinary dedication helped secure a transformational $51,000 grant from Beta Sigma Phi International for Camp Haccamo.

Thank you to everyone who came out and continues to support our mission!

When District Governors experience Camp Haccamo—as Jim Crane did last year and Governor Lisa Hardy Norwood today—it highlights the extraordinary power of what happens when clubs unite. It’s a powerful reminder that visiting our region’s camps is where leadership truly connects with Rotary’s heart.

To mark her official visit, Camp President Neal Gorman presented Governor Lisa with a commemorative plaque in gratitude for her leadership and support. We even broke out the cake for a double milestone: 70 incredible years for both Brighton Rotary and Camp Haccamo!

Looks at the village of clubs represented tonight!
