We love this month so much. The village looks absolutely beautiful right now with the leaves changing and that crisp fall air settling in, and we have a really great lineup of things happening this month that we want to make sure you know about.

Here is everything going on in October:

🪡 26th Annual Quilt Show · October 2, 3, and 4 · $5

Spend the weekend strolling the historic sidewalks of Sackets Harbor and enjoy more than 100 colorful quilts displayed at select historic sites throughout the community. Organized by Hay Memorial Library. Genuinely one of the most unique events this village puts on all year.

🌿 Community Farmstand · October 3 and 10 · 9am to 3pm · Free

The Farmstand is in its final weeks of the season! Come grab some fresh local produce, plants, herbs, and handmade goods while you still can. Every Saturday through Columbus Day.

🎨 Tiny Art Show at the Sackets Harbor Arts Center · Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October 25 · Free

The Arts Association of Northern New York's annual Tiny Art Show is on display through the end of October with small format original works from artists across the region. A wonderful reason to pop into the Arts Center on your next visit.

🍿 Second Friday Free Movie at the Presbyterian Church · October 9 · 6:30pm · Free

The United Presbyterian Church hosts its monthly free community movie night on Friday, October 9 at 6:30pm. A cozy evening out right here in the village.

😂 Laughs on the Harbor · October 23 and 24 · 7pm · Tickets from $30

Two nights of live stand-up comedy at the Sackets Harbor Ballroom, and this one is a fundraiser for the Sackets Harbor Chamber of Commerce! Veteran headliner and clean-comedy favorite Sky Sands performs alongside nationally touring stand-up and writer Mark Chalifoux. Doors open at 5:30pm with a cash bar. Tickets start at $30 and are available now.

🎃 4th Annual HalloweenVille · October 24 · Noon to 4pm · Free

Our favorite fall event is back! The Sackets Harbor Chamber of Commerce hosts HalloweenVille on October 24, a family-friendly celebration of Halloween throughout downtown Sackets Harbor. Witches, wizards, goblins, ghosts, and ghouls welcome. The Events Committee is planning a full day of fun for the whole family.

🏃 12th Annual Scarecrow Scuttle 5K, 10K and Family Fun Run · October 24 · $10

On the same day as HalloweenVille, Old McDonald's Farm teams up with The ARC Jefferson-St. Lawrence Foundation for the Scarecrow Scuttle. A really fun fall race for all skill levels at one of the most beloved spots near the village.

‼️ CANNED LATTES NOW AVAILABLE ‼️

A couple of weeks ago, I bought one of the pumpkin pie canned lattes from Tina Lynn’s Depot Cafe at Burrville C***r Mill and IMMEDIATELY reached out to see if we could carry them at The Cheese Store. They’re SO GOOD, seasonally flavored, and made local. Can’t beat that!!!

🥍 Congratulations, Team 570 Lacrosse! 🥍

We had the pleasure of hosting Team 570 Lacrosse this weekend for the 33rd Annual 1812 Lacrosse Shootout, and what an incredible weekend it was!

A huge congratulations on your 2nd Place finish! 🏆

For many of you, this marks the end of an incredible 5-season journey together. While the season may be over, the friendships, memories, and lessons made along the way will last a lifetime.

We are incredibly grateful to have hosted you all and to have been a small part of your journey and the memories created along the way. Thank you for choosing Stone Cove Cottage. Wishing each of you the very best in your next chapter!
