Our brand new deck is complete and "all decked out" with a new hot tub, fire table & patio furniture! It's 1,150 square feet of outdoor living space under the trees and with a view! Come and enjoy! We have openings in late May, early June, and August. And, we are staying open for the fall and winter too!

One of our 2024 guests, Olivia F. made these sweet ceramic pieces... a replica of the Garfield Bay Cottage where she and her husband Joshua stayed on their honeymoon. The deer and the frog are animals they saw while they were there. The house opens up to store the rocks that Olivia and Josh collected on the lakeside beach. 💕

Our little cottage inspires art, recreation, and rest, and connection. How could it not, being nestled in one of the most beautiful places on earth?

It's December! This month marks the 4 year anniversary of the Garfield Bay Cottage! We are still so in love with this little cottage and our vacation rental business and have hosted 123 sets of guests since we purchased it. How we have enjoyed sharing our little slice of heaven in Garfield Bay!

Whew! It's been a while since we posted, but for good reason! We were SO BUSY this summer! In 16 weeks we hosted 30 sets of guests! We are so very grateful! So... get ready for some fun recap posts of summer in the bay. And if that makes you want to come, don't wait to reserve your dates because last year, summer was completely booked by April!

We just became airbnb SUPERHOSTS!!! We are so very grateful to each and every guest (30 sets of guests!) we have hosted in the first 35 weeks since the Cottage was opened. It has been a great experience and we are so excited to see what this next year brings! 🌲🌞🌲

We love finding evidence of sweet celebration after our guests have left the cottage. Since we have started hosting this past May, many birthdays have been spent here, as well as family gatherings on the sidelines of weddings and celebration-of-life ceremonies in the Bay, and a family even hosted their Thanksgiving dinner here! This cottage is the perfect celebration getaway!

Taking a new "welcome" bouquet to our 12th guest family in the 12 weeks we've been open! 11 more guests scheduled during the next 13 weeks!!! We are booked solid through October 29th 🙂 So grateful to all of our guests who have trusted us with their vacations and have helped us fine tune our hosting processes. It has been a rewarding first season so far!

We finally had a chance to finish the upstairs remodel! We purchased the cottage fully furnished, and after removing most of the clutter, we changed the color scheme from yellow to blue... such a serene spot!
