Good morning!
A significant impactful winter storm is on tap for today into Monday. Snow will begin from SW to NE today. The worst of the storm will be this afternoon and tonight. Across the northern half of the area 1-2" per hour snowfall rates are likely. In the southern half of the area expect snow to change to sleet and freezing rain this afternoon. Precipitation will end across the southern half of the area tonight while snow lingers across the north Monday.
Travel will be extremely difficult to nearly impossible across large portions of eastern & northern Maine from this afternoon into early Mon AM.
