We have been a little quiet on Facebook this week but only because we have been busy doing what we love most: welcoming guests, celebrating special moments, and helping create beautiful St. Augustine memories.

St. Augustine’s Fireworks Over the Matanzas returns on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and it is one of the most magical nights of the year downtown.

The evening begins with live music at 6:00 PM in the Plaza de la Constitución, followed by a stunning 9:00 PM fireworks show over the bay, synchronized with music along the waterfront.

Plus, as part of the America250 celebration, the Florida Freedom Tour Traveling Museum will be at Castillo de San Marcos with exhibits sharing Florida’s incredible history.

Stay close to the celebration. Walk to the music. Watch the sky light up over the bay. Then end the night surrounded by the charm of historic St. Augustine.

Heads up for Sunday evening traffic in downtown St. Augustine. 🚧
Beginning around 5:00pm on Sunday, May 24, temporary rolling road closures will take place for a religious procession traveling from Mission Nombre de Dios to the Cathedral Basilica along the Bayfront.
Drivers can expect temporary delays on:
• San Marco Avenue
• South Castillo Drive
• Avenida Menéndez
• Cathedral Place and nearby downtown routes
King Street will temporarily operate as a two-way street while the procession moves through the area.
If you’ll be downtown Sunday evening, please allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes when possible. The closures are temporary and will reopen as participants safely clear the roadway.
