NEW FLOORS!! Every year Gerard Vail and I invest a little more into this lovely cottage to make your stay more comfortable and memorable. It’s not just a vacation home we rent, but our home away from home. That’s why our kitchen is stocked with great All-Clad cookware, sleep-in worthy beds, outdoor games, and rare Adirondack chairs with both wine glass and can beverage holders.

Today we found a newborn fawn trapped in the fencing near the cabin. She was in pretty bad shape. We used tin snips to free her and transported her to “Wild Instincts,” a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center down in Rhinelander that provides care for native Wisconsin species and operates as a 24/7 emergency service for injured or orphaned animals. Hope they can save her.
