Someone once asked me what my favorite thing was about the grain bin and I said, "the windows." The windows do make the space for me, but I've grown to realize that my truly favorite thing isn't a physical aspect of the space, it's the connections and experiences the space offers that is truly my favorite.

Come stay with us, experience small town northeast Iowa, borrow our snowshoes in the winter, snuggle in with your journal, or ask about floating on the Turkey river in the summer.. every season is beautiful.

I love sharing pretty photos of our renovated grain bin cabin, but there's still nothing like actually stepping inside for yourself. It truly is a peaceful little getaway on the prairie and I am so grateful to be able to share it with people from all over.

I’ve always been a dreamer. I have journals filled with sketches of this or that from the time I could hold a pencil. I remember the first time I drew up an idea for our grain bins on a blank sheet of paper. I thought to myself, maybe if we do a small one and see how it goes, I could eventually do one of the bigger ones.

When the time came and I knew I might only get to do one, I decided to go with the one that would be my dream cabin. I’m so glad we did. This space turned out to be a dream come true, and knowing how many people have gotten to experience it for themselves, the anniversaries, the spontaneous getaways, the girls nights, our family reunion, elopements, and photoshoots, makes it even more meaningful.

This space hasn’t just been my dream. It’s become a place for others to dream too. And that’s really what it’s all about.

Caleb and Bailey's intimate sunset elopement at Wold Farm in northeast Iowa was simple, elegant, and overlooked the fall prairie. Peaceful, joyful, and witnessed by their parents - their day was perfection.
