Remediation will start this week! For those who don’t know, we were flooded during Helene last year and now we are demolishing the floors, walls & any cabinets up to 2’. Exposure to the inside of the walls will let a potential home buyer know what’s there. Anyone still in the market for an income property?

Update on MKVRs…we were impacted by the last two hurricanes beyond our ability to remediate and renovate. Therefore, we are having to close Mona Kai and putting the property up for sale as soon as possible in “as is” condition. To all who have stayed at Mona Kai or found our page. We have sustained a lot of damage from the last two hurricanes. We are not taking any bookings at this time as we assess the damage and deal with insurance companies. We will keep you updated on news as we get information.

The City of St. Pete Beach will be hosting a 4th of July celebration event to include fireworks show, a live music concert, and food & beverage service of which the proceeds will benefit the Veterans of South Pinellas.

The event will take place on Thursday July 4th in Horan Park (7701 Boca Ciega Drive) beginning at 6PM. The fireworks display will be based at the east end of Corey Avenue Business District, with both Horan Park and the 300 Block of Corey Avenue hosting the official watch parties. This block will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 3PM on July 4th.

Smokin Renegade will perform musical tributes to Boston and Styx beginning at 7PM, with fireworks to follow at approximately 9PM. Food will be served at Horan Park by “Grillin & Chillin”, MCO Taqueria and Wich Press Food Truck. Additional food options and discounts will be available from Corey Avenue businesses.

🚨 Fireworks Safety Reminder 🚨
Safety is our top priority year-round and particularly on the 4th of July holiday. The use of personal fireworks can result in serious injury to people, property, and wildlife. Per the city's Beach Ordinance section 95-15, it is unlawful for any person to "use or explode any fireworks on the beach." This ordinance will be strictly enforced by the Pinellas County Sherrif's Office who will be actively patrolling on the 4th of July.
