Wind gusts of 50-70 mph are likely across much of the Bay Area on Thursday afternoon. (Less inland) We can lose power in an afternoon tstorm. I would expect rather widespread outages for awhile Thursday afternoon and evening as Helene passes by to our West.

While the storm is expected to go to track toward the Panhandle area, wisdom tells us to prepare for the worst and pray for the best! To that end, we find local meteorologist, Dennis Phillips, a GREAT source of information.

"Great location. Dunkin’ Donuts / Baskin Robins was .2 miles away so we went there every day. Multiple other restaurants all within less than half a mile to walk to. Property was right on the beach. Casual laid back atmosphere. Wasn’t crowded at all. Met many nice families from all over the US. The pool was nice and clean. Our place was very clean. Mattresses and pillows were comfortable. Check in and check out were super easy. We would definitely stay here again."
