Shiphouse -- St Simons Island

Greetings all friends of Shiphouse! I hope that many of you had the opportunity to visit St. Simons Island this summer, and stay at the Shiphouse. Every Spring we try to add some features or improvements - this Spring we refinished the hardwood floors, painted, added furniture, lamps, and pictures, and later this summer added a HUGE new Weber grill on the rooftop deck. Our goal is to exceed the high expectations of our guests, every visit! But in the end, people come to Shiphouse for one reason - the location and the view, and to that end, here's a new picture from this morning's sunrise. Enjoy!

Greetings all Shiphouse friends and renters, I hope you are healthy and safe! As you know, Georgia has re-opened, and Shiphouse is open, too. Our rental agents Hodnett Cooper have created new cleaning and other processes to help ensure your stay with us is safe. We have some availability later in June and July, and we are donating a portion of all of our new bookings to the United Way of Coastal Georgia, to help the many fine people who have struggled during this pandemic. Here is a picture from the 1st floor after a storm had passed - seemed appropriate - I hope that our storms have passed, and we're headed toward the sunny and happy days that your vacation on St. Simons is meant to be remembered by.

Greetings again Shiphouse followers the Shiphouse is BACK in action!! We had a few feet of sand and rocks in the pool - all cleaned up - and we still have some fence to repair, but otherwise all is looking good. We hope to see you soon on St. Simons Island.

Greetings followers of the Shiphouse on St. Simons Island.
Irma has come and gone, and left a lot of debris and water in her wake. The Shiphouse has not been damaged, however, the pool and the ocean are indistinguishable for the moment, the pool fencing has been badly damaged, and the bench on the oceanfront deck was picked up and placed in the pool! Happily there is not a single problem with our new rooftop deck, although the canvas awnings on the third floor have been damaged. We and Hodnett Cooper will be working away to put everything back in order - in order to welcome YOU back to the Shiphouse very very soon!

The Shiphouse has a new roof deck! Made from Brazilian hardwood, the roof deck is the PERFECT place to watch the sun rise or the sun set. Enjoy the grill and kitchen, and relax as you take in the view of all of St. Simons Island from your perch at the Shiphouse
