Every detail that you see now, from the marble floors, lighting, wallpaper and textures was brought back to life piece by piece.

This was a renovation not a restoration. But we kept what mattered. The goal was never to make it feel new, it was to make it feel like something worth discovering.

We finally got our house history back! Historic Salem Inc. house plaques mark the lives, trades, and eras that shaped the city from ships captains, physicians, merchants, and families whose homes still anchor our streets today. A subtle reminder that every doorway has a past, and every walk through Salem is a trip in a time machine. I often try to picture what the daily grind looked like 150 or 200 years ago and what those people would think of our city today.
