Ponderosa Lodge Ponderosa Lodge serves groups at the base of Mt. Shavano, 12 miles west of Salida, Colorado.

Ponderosa Lodge books only groups, but we serve individuals and create an atmosphere which was best described by a young girl telling her mother about the
Ponderosa. She said, “It is a nice lodge, but it is more like staying in someone’s
home”. We are able to do that because we are a family operation caring enough to
make each guest welcome.
