St. Elmo isn't named a ghost town for fun; it actually was one. 👻🍂 This old mining town above 9,000 feet emptied decades ago, but the weathered buildings are still standing, framed in gold aspens this time of year.

It's an easy day trip from Creekside Chalets and genuinely one of the more interesting stops in the area if you're into Colorado history, abandoned places, or just a good fall backdrop for photos.

Would you come to a Halloween Pet Dress-Up Parade at Creekside Chalets? 🐾

We’re thinking costumed pups, a little parade around the chalets, plenty of photos, mountain fall vibes, and a whole bunch of wagging tails.

Halloween is right around the corner, so this would be a bit of spontaneous Creekside fun, and if enough people are interested, we just might have to make it happen. 👀
