Something new is coming to the Gillis Grier… 🏡

Preserving an 1887 Victorian home is never really finished. There is always another detail to restore, another piece of history to protect, and occasionally a project that turns out to be quite a bit bigger than we imagined!

Over the years, we have been quietly working to preserve and bring new life to the Gillis Grier—sometimes restoring what was here, sometimes recreating what has been lost, and always trying to remain faithful to the character of this remarkable old house.

We thought it was time to take you behind the scenes.

Our upcoming series will begin with six chapters of renewal and more:

Chapter 1 — Restoring the Porch
Chapter 2 — Restoring the Garden Lamps
Chapter 3 — Creating the Koi Fishpond Nook
Chapter 4 — Garden Tree Trimming
Chapter 5 — Bringing the Fireplaces & Chimneys Back to Life
Chapter 6 — Painting & Preserving the Details

There will be dust. There will be surprises. There will probably be a few moments when we wonder what we have gotten ourselves into. 😊 But that's part of caring for a house that has already stood for nearly 140 years.

Same house. Same heritage. New chapters.
