If you watched our recent stories you heard that for the longest time we confused a photo of Edith Armstrong (second owner) as Henrietta (the woman who built Ellerbeck Mansion! Luckily helped us dig thru the Utah archives for this photo of her!!!

“Ettie” is written underneath her - revealing she went by “Ettie Ellerbeck” which is just the cutest name ever. We were so happy to finally “meet” the woman who built and first occupied the home ❤️ Excited to share more photos, documents and pieces of our history!

This photo captures an integral part of this whole operation: housekeeping. Our two fantastic housekeepers, Luz Maria & Alycia spend their afternoons at Ellerbeck cleaning and preparing our rooms and house for a new round of guests!

While we often have multi day guests, we host a lot of one night stays… which means we turn a lot of rooms. These gals, with some help from our innkeepers, sometimes need to flip five (or all six) of our suites in a day! Finally printed all the photos dug up from the Archives for us!!! She found old photos, documents, and newspaper clippings from the 130 year history of this house! We’re putting the images into a book that will be in the entryway for guests to enjoy and learn more about Ellerbeck Mansion’s past!!! Cant wait to share more about this project… including a very sought after image of Henrietta Dyer Ellerbeck that Adrienne found for us! ☺️

Largest, “fanciest” rooms: Wasatch & Uinta
Best bathroom: Uinta or Sunstone
Private outdoor space: Sunstone
Best bathtub: trick question, only Bonneville has a bathtub!
Most updated: Zion
Best photo lighting: Sunstone or Deseret
Best bed: all our beds are super comfy but Wasatch & Bonneville have canopy beds!
